No I'm not headed for trouble, Trouble Bound is a local band.
I went with my brother to the Eagles Club, Saturday night, for thier Thanksgiving feed & dance and The Band played.
I have known the Bass player, Dale Bruce for 20 years or more and Drummer Gary McFee almost as long. They played a great mix of music from classic country to old Rock N Roll. I really enjoyed thier version of Jimmy Thakery's "Cool Guitar", and had the dancers join in on the last song of the night, a rousing version of BTO's "Takin' care of Bizzness".
I also had a chance to talk to Dale's beautiful wife Melinda, who has been running sound on occasion. It was great to have a chance to sit & reminiss with old friends

I didn't realize how much I missed being around live music and musicians, as well as my old friends.
Since I have moved back here, I have been asked to go into the studio with an old friend who wants to start recording some of his original songs, Another friend that I worked with a few years ago, is wanting to put togeather another band and asked if I wanna help them out with Sound & gigs, and Dale from the above mentioned band and I talked briefly about working togeather in the near future. Also My brother does stand up comedy & is interested in me working with him too, So my future is looking a bit brighter.
I may not make much money doing this, but it sure does bring a smile to my ugly mug

I'm still waiting for my brother to move back here. We "plan" to put together a NEW Rusty Brother's Band when he gets a round tuit!
We will need a good, albeit rusty, bassist Rog.
Just how rusty might you be? Can you relocate?
Rock on Jolly Rog!

Hope you get the chance to get back into it if you want Rog. I know when I saw the Lourds and Cherie at Chiller this last June I realized how much I missed hitting the clubs. So I've been going out when I can and I have to laugh when I look around and see that I'm an old geezer compared to the young unz in the clubs. But I get to hear the raw talent out there and I love it.

Thanks for stopping by Dale, I had a great time watching the band perform and I really enjoyed the flashbacks caused by our conversations, Tell Melinda I said Howdy. If Mrs Drummer would pass along a photo from that night I would love to post it here....Hint hint
I'm purty rusted, but playing might loosen up some o' the dust, and now that I'm free, It would be nice to hook up with a tumbling tumbling weed and blow into the old peublo
Mike, I'm hope never to be to old to Rock & Roll
